ROTTERDAM, Netherlands: Fokker Services Group (FSG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus Helicopters to establish H225M base maintenance capabilities in the Netherlands. The agreement was formalized during the NIDV Exhibition Defense & Security in Rotterdam, marking a significant step in advancing the Royal Netherlands Air Force's (RNLAF) operational readiness.

Supporting Netherlands' Defense Upgrade: The collaboration follows the Dutch Ministry of Defense's acquisition of 12 H225M helicopters. Under the MoU, FSG and Airbus Helicopters will work together to provide comprehensive maintenance solutions at the Woensdrecht maintenance valley, ensuring that RNLAF can maintain high fleet availability with localized expertise.

Building Strategic Maintenance Partnerships: FSG CEO Roland van Dijk expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “The H225M base maintenance capability will be an excellent fit with our current capabilities and our ambition to grow as a strategic maintenance partner for the RNLAF. We are thrilled that we will collaborate with Airbus Helicopters to bring this capability to the Netherlands.” Alain Krief, Head of Region Industrial Participation for Europe at Airbus Helicopters, highlighted the benefits of the partnership: “Together, our common strengths form a robust foundation for bringing valuable services towards RNLAF. This collaboration ensures higher fleet availability and supports high-skilled job creation in the long term.”

Enhancing Regional Defense Infrastructure: The initiative not only enhances the Netherlands' defense capabilities but also aligns with broader goals to boost local industry expertise, create high-end jobs, and ensure long-term operational efficiency for the RNLAF’s fleet of H225M helicopters.
